A Walk on the Beach in Pemuteran

We spent our first afternoon in town walking the beach past the little fishing village of Pemuteran, and as you can see from the photos it's both an idyllic place, but also shows the typical signs of what plagues the world in our times – all the garbage that no longer breaks down and returns to the soil, but instead litter even the most remote and uninhabited places, both unsightly and destructive to the environment. Just think about what our homes and gardens would look like, if we had no way of getting rid of all the garbage we each produce, but had to store it around our homes! We just don't have to live with our own garbage, but that does not mean it doesn't exist.
