It's fun to go outdoors to paint sometimes. Here I share a few tips for what to bring for an outdoor adventure - either camping or just a day hike.
If you want to make my little "watercolor sleeve" here are the basic recipe:
Start with about 46 stitches, knit in one piece, using 5 knitting needles (like knitting socks, etc.)

Update on Lightfastness of Opera Rose, Prussian & Antwerp Blue Watercolors
I just took down the watercolor samples I have had in my window since September of 2019 to see how lightfast the Opera Rose from Mission Gold is, compared to the other Opera Rose watercolors from other brands, which I tested in an earlier video listed below.
At the same time I also tested the Antwerp Blue from Winsor Newton and the Prussian Blue from da Vinci. I think I will redo this test at a later date, but for now here is my results.

In this video I show you what watercolor supplies I am going to bring along for sketching and painting on an African Safari. Since I have to pack light, but still want to have my watercolors with me, I did quite a bit of research to come up with the ultimate kit & perfect watercolors.
Of course, color choices are highly individual, but for me I prefer bright, clean colors.
Remember, you can always dull down colors, but you can never make a dull color brighter!
