Painting Rosebuds in Watercolor

I am finally back in the studio and in the classroom and it feels good!

In this video I show you how to pick a good brush with breaking the budget, and paint rosebuds using only the 3 primary colors, Quin Red, French Ultramarine Blue and Transparent Yellow! Using a limited palette is often a good idea, especially if you are a beginner - that way you avoid getting mud!

You can use any colors that speaks to you, and create your own design to paint a colorful painting of rosebuds!

Painting a Dancing Crane In Watercolor

Inspired by my visit to Hornborgasjön in Sweden a few years ago. Here about 20.000 cranes gather every spring to rest, fourage and perform their mating dances. An unforgettable sight which I have wanted to paint for a while. Now I have finally worked out a couple of sketches, and here is my demo of my first watercolor painting of a Dancing Crane. Enjoy!

Painting a Winterlandscape & Barn in Watercolor

Inspired by my Fall visit to the Mid-west I painted a red barn in a winterscape - a big thank you to Angela Fehr for letting me use her reference photo!

This is a very detailed demo, lots of information along the way about what materials I use, and how to use masking fluid to mask out the snow on the barn and fence.

Hope you try it out!

Please also go to Angela Fehr's YouTube Channel to see a couple of other ways to paint this scene and get some of her great tips!
